2025 WORLD TRANSPLANT GAMES - SWIM MEET REVIEW

​Middlesex Swimming would like to congratulate Jillian Best who participated as a member of the CANADIAN NATIONAL TEAM in the 2025 World Transplant Games overseas in Dresden, Germany!!! ​

Jillian came away from the 2025 WTG again with loads of positive performances, wonderful results, and a truly memorable experience! Below are further details on how Jillian performed across her races:​
​
     
  • A Gold Medal and NEW WORLD RECORD in the 100m Breaststroke!!!
  • Another Gold Medal and NEW WORLD RECORD in the 200m IM!!!
  • Silver Medals in the 100m + 200m + 400m freestyle events!!!
  • 2 Bronze Medals in the Women's 4x50m Freestyle as well as 4x50m Medley Relays 
  • ​Jillian had 5 personal best times when the swim meet was all over and done with... Along with 3 New Club Records!!!

​As the club has mentioned previously these sorts of accomplishments for any individual can never occur without the support and care of those around them. Whether that be a donor that helped change Jillian's life for the better years ago, her loving husband Zach, her supportive mother (who was also competing at the Games and won a gold medal in archery!!!), her family, her wonderful teammates as well as coaches (both on Team Canada & back home within Middlesex Swimming), or anyone else who has helped play some small part along Jillian's journey through life to assist her to get to where she is today - It takes a village to raise someone up to these sorts of heights!​​​ 

Champions do not become champions when they win the event, but in the hours, weeks, months, and years they spend preparing for it. The victorious performance itself is merely the demonstration of their championship character. Know that we are all very proud of the effort you put forth at the 2025 World Transplant Games in Dresden, Germany and you did an outstanding job of representing yourself, your family, your club, and country :)
