2025 World Aquatics Swimming World Cup + USC Masters Fall Invitational Swim Meet Reviews
Middlesex Swimming would like to congratulate David Spence, Kyle Stuckless, Georgia Teare, and Coach Mackenzie Salmon on their racing efforts this last week/weekend either in Scarborough or Uxbridge at their respective competitions!!!
2025 World Aquatics Swimming World Cup Review

To start the week off last Thursday Kyle Stuckless was racing in Scarborough at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre within the final stage of 2025 World Aquatics Swimming World Cup.
Kyle had a very solid competition this past week in Toronto swimming head-to-head with the big guns in prelims (i.e. Olympic Champions, World Record Holders, and many others of the biggest names in competitive swimming!). Kyle ended up racing close to his best prelim swims and certainly is in a good situation at the beginning of his 2025-2026 swimming season. Kyle's highest placing event was the 100m butterfly where he placed 22nd! Obviously there is still much work to be done before Kyle will be able to out dual the best in the pool within swimming, however the experience of racing against the very best on the international stage and how Kyle handled himself under the pressure was an excellent opportunity for his overall development, as he continues to work hard to become better and pursues his dreams and goals - Congratulations Kyle on your performances this past week and we hope that you continue to have a wonderful rest of your varsity season on the University of Western's men’s swim team!!!

USC Masters Fall Invitational Swim Meet Review

On Friday evening in Uxbridge 3 of our masters’ swimmers (Coach Mackenzie Salmon, David Spence, & Georgia Teare) were racing at the inaugural USC Masters Fall Invitational!
This was the 1st swim meet on the master’s competition schedule and David, Georgia, and Coach Mackenzie certainly got our club off to a great start in the water, as they all ended up swimming to 1st place finishes in every single race that they competed within!!! In some of the races/events they even were the fastest swimmers in the water, David and Georgia were within striking distance of some of their personal best times, and in the closest race of the swim meet Coach Mackenzie ended up winning one of his races (the 50m backstroke) by 0.01! Therefore, everyone certainly did not look like it took them long to shake off the rust from the summer break, and the club would like to congratulate all of you on your strong showing :)
The club would like to ensure that we provide our many thanks to the World Aquatics Swimming, Swimming Canada, the Uxbridge Swim Club (USC), and all of the other volunteer officials from all over Canada as well as the world for helping to run both of these excellent competitions for our swimmers this past week/weekend!
