Coaches and Directors
Gord is OSHAC’s Head Coach. He coaches the Senior team and runs all of the dryland training sessions. Head Coach Gord began his swimming career as a member of the Region of Waterloo Swim Club and went on to represent the Axemen at Acadia University in Nova Scotia. It was there that he began his coaching career working with the Axemen in his final year as well as taking on the role of head coach of the local swim team the Wolfville Tritons.
Gord has been with OSHAC since 1994, he started off as the Head Age Group Coach, and 4 years later he was promoted to Head Coach. As Head Coach, he has seen the club produce several provincial and youth national champions. He has also coached a number of athletes who have gone on to be selected to several Provincial and National teams including the Ontario Canada Games Team and the Junior Pan Pacific Team.
Coach Gord is a former National level swimmer with over 16 years of experience as an athlete and now more than 25 years of experience as a coach, his passion for helping athletes reach their potential remains as strong as ever.
