Background

Coach Anne joined Perth Stingrays Aquatic Club as Head Coach in 2022, having a lifelong love of swimming and the Perth Community. Anne has a competitive swimming background and a huge passion for sport, and particularly youth sports. She swam for the University of Calgary Swim Club for 10 years and stopped racing after high school. Anne played Varsity Water polo for Queens University and has swum on and off in various master’s groups for the past 20 years.

“My favourite thing about coaching the Stingrays is empowering these wonderful athletes to be their best, in and out of the pool, through a love of swimming”

Noah Sullivan, Assistant Coach

NCCP Level 1

[email protected]

Background

Coach Noah may be new to our coaching team, but he is no stranger to the Stingrays! Noah grew up in Perth where he swam with the Stingrays for 5 years and, having been coached by Coach Audrey himself, he credits her for much of what he knows. While he grew up swimming with many of the top swimmers Stingrays has produced, he headed down a different path - into endurance sport. This led him to captaining the Nipissing University cross country running team and to becoming a top university Nordic skier in the province. After returning to Lanark County during the 23-24 season he spent time working and learning from Coach Anne and began bringing his experience in endurance sports to the pool!

"During my time as a Stingray I got to witness the dedication, discipline, and determination that the sport instilled. Since then, I have always relied on these qualities and want to help our swimmers develop into the incredible young people they are capable of being."

Background

Since 2019, Coach Lori has been part of the Perth Stingrays Aquatic Club coaching team - she enjoys that the Stingrays provide a welcoming atmosphere to make friends and stay healthy. Swimming and water has always been a huge part of her life, which led her to becoming a Red Cross Swimming Instructor, Lifesaving Society Instructor, certified Aquafit instructor and National Lifeguard. Coach Lori enjoys watching swimmers progress and move through the levels while gaining confidence and skills and improving their performance.

Background

While Coach Nancy only recently re-joined the Stingrays as a Coach (having previously coached in the mid-00's and 10's), she is absolutely no stranger to swimming! During her swim career, Coach Nancy was a 21x National Champion (setting 10 national records), won a World Cup Championship, and competed in two Summer Olympic Games (200 & 400 IM!). As she returns to coach our Stingrays she is looking forward to working with swimmers to foster a love of the sport, help them build skills, and have fun!
