Ontario Swimming Championships This past weekend, Region of Waterloo Swim Club ventured on to their next Championship Meet of the winter competition window – Ontario Swimming Championships at the Toronto PAN AM Centre. The Ontario Winter Festival Championships took place February 17-18 at the Etobicoke Olympium. Festivals is the highest level of competition for 12&U athletes in the province of Ontario. On the December 8-10th weekend, 36 ROW swimmers attended GMAC’s Dash for Cash from RSA Comp, JD1 and swimmers from other competitive groups who didn’t participate in the team travel meet in Windsor. The small but mighty group of ROW athletes swam a large number of events over the course of the weekend, where we had many 13& over athletes qualifying to participate in their first-ever finals sessions!
