NovaTech AquaKids Movement Standards

• Bronze Medal is achieved when a swimmer swims a time of 2:15.00 or faster in the 100m IM and a time of 35:00 seconds or faster in the 25m flutter or dolphin kick.
• Silver Medal is achieved when a swimmer swims a time of 4:15.00 or faster in the 200m IM and a time of 30.00 seconds or faster in the 25m flutter or dolphin kick.
• Gold Medal is achieved when a swimmer swims a time of 3:55.00 or faster in the 200m IM, a 3:40.00 or faster in the 200m Freestyle and a time of 30.00 seconds or faster in the 25m flutter, whip or dolphin kick - in a streamline position on the front or back.
• Once a Gold Medal is achieved a swimmer may graduate to Age Group training sessions and competitions.

Age Group AA Standards 2023-2024

• AA Competitions are available to all athletes who graduate from NovaTech as above.

Age Group AAA Standards 2023-2024

• AAA Competitions are available to athletes who meet the qualifying standards as follows:
  • 14 & Under - Times achieved March 1st, 2019 forward, either short course or long course
    • Option 1:  200m or 400m IM plus one other 200m event (any discipline)
    • Option 2:  Any three 200m events or longer.
  • 15 & Over  - Times achieved March 1st, 2019 forward, ether short course or long course.
    • Option 1:  One qualifying time = One swim at Championship meets.  No bonus swims.  8 swims maximum.

Swim Canada National Standards 2021-2024

• National Competitions (Easterns, Canadian Junior/Senior Swimming Championships) are available to athletes who meet the time standards for those events. 
  • One qualifying time = One swim.  No Bonus Swims.
