All CAST swimmers and families are invited.  Plan for limited parking in the adjacent lot - you may have to park up to 1/4 mile away on nearby streets. 

Parents with longboards, kayaks or ocean swimming experience are encouraged to help with swim supervision. We keep the swim short - about 600 yds to a buoy and back.....and the swim is not mandatory. Then swimmers and families can stick around, if they choose, for some socializing and relaxing at the beach. 

Monday 9/1: no practices due to the Labor day holiday. Enjoy!

Swim-o-Rama fundraiser:

The Swim-o-rama is our annual fundraiser and it is vital for the team. Swimmers who have joined the team after June 15th this year do not have to (but are encouraged to) participate. Swimmers seek donations from family, friends, and businesses and have an hour to swim as many lengths of the pool as they possibly can.  more info to follow....you can find info including a letter to send to relatives and a sponsor sheet  on the event page here.

Team Suit: 

We have a new team suit. It is the Speedo "flow" blue and green (Speedo color scheme is 421). Our team store is swimwest on Convoy ct in the Kearny Mesa area. They also have all sorts of CAST-specific team gear available,link Here. If you visit in person, be sure to tell them you are with CAST, as some items may be discounted for team members.

Also we have asked them to  open up the "team cap with names" order form on on their site - they will keep this link open until Sept 17th. Team caps with names have to have an overall minimum order, so we have to have them open and close this link so we can send in a bundle at a time.....So if you want you CAST cap with a name, place your order before the 17th as we will not likely order again until March 2026.

USA swimming memberships

For those of you just joining, please take care of registering with USA swimming during the first week of September. You membership will be good through Dewcember of 2026.
