Head Coach: Tony Dual

Entering his first year with Whittier Aquatic Club, Tony brings with him over two decades of coaching expertise to the pool. Beginning in 2000 at Industry Hills Aquatics, he honed his skills coaching Age Group and Senior swimmers. His coaching journey continued as a National Team Assistant Coach under Rick Shipherd, guiding athletes to multiple National Championships and the prestigious US Olympic Trials in 2004.

After a hiatus, his passion for coaching reignited in 2017 when his daughter Ava joined La Mirada Armada Swim Team. Since taking the reins of The La Mirada Armada Masters Swim Team in 2019, he has tripled its membership and earned accolades as a Level 2 Certified US Masters Swim Coach and USMS Adult Learn to Swim Instructor.

Drawing from his experience as Water Polo and Men's Swimming Team Captain during his collegiate years at Fordham University, his coaching philosophy emphasizes both individual growth and team unity.

Outside the pool, he resides in Whittier with his wife Emily and their children, Jackson and Ava. With dedication and expertise, he looks forward to leading Whittier Aquatic Club to new heights, fostering excellence in and out of the water.
