August 2024 Training Tip of the Month: Self Care

This month, we're focusing on the essential aspect of self-care! 🧘‍♂️💪

🔹 Tip: Stretch Every Day

Taking care of your body is just as important as honing your basketball skills. Incorporating daily stretching into your routine can improve your flexibility, prevent injuries, and enhance your overall performance on the court.

👉 Try to set aside at least 10-15 minutes each day for a good stretch. Your muscles will thank you!

Here are a few simple stretches to get you started:

  • Hamstring Stretch: Sit with one leg extended and the other bent. Reach for your toes.

  • Quadriceps Stretch: Stand on one leg, pull your other foot towards your buttock.

  • Shoulder Stretch: Cross one arm over your body and use the opposite hand to push it towards your chest.

  • Calf Stretch: Lean against a wall with one leg forward and the other extended back, pushing your heel to the ground.
