Senior - Coach in Charge: Gregory Manvelian; 2 ½ hour practice
Elite training group preparing swimmers for the likes of Senior meets*, YMCA Nationals, & swim career after High School
- Emphasis:
- Focus is on understanding training principles, setting and achieving goals, and maximizing realized strengths and potential.
- Pre-requisite:
- Must be able to swim:10x100 free @ 1:10; 10x100 kicks @1:30
- 5% or faster time standard set/ achieved time standard from YMCA Nationals that year.
- Training Offered:
- Includes 5-6 swimming sessions per week (up to 9/wk in the Summer), 2-3 strength- training sessions per week (including core work, weights, drills, running).
Group Requirements:
- Attendance:
- 4 out of 5 Weekday Practices + Saturday Morning mandatory.
- Parent Notes:
- Required for late arrival, early departure, and missed practices. Contact group coach for preferred method of communication.
- Commitment:
- Must be committed to compete year-round.
- Monthly Group Fee:
- $145
Swim Meets:
- Y-League: Participation in 3 invitationals to qualify for the league championship at the end of the season and our own hosting meet required.
- USA Swimming: Encouraged to attend all meets designated by the coaching staff.
Junior - Coach in Charge: Noah Bernstein, Asst. Coach: Gregory Manvelian; 2 ½ hour practice
Designed for swimmers ages 10-13, with an incentive towards transitioning from advanced age-group to senior level swimming
- Emphasis:
- Focus is on improving technique, aerobic conditioning, goal setting, and race strategy. Senior level training concepts and ideas are introduced and worked on.
- Pre-requisite:
- High School Swimmers, JO+ Qualified swimmers
- Training Offered:
- Includes 5-6 swimming sessions per week (up to 9/wk in the Summer), 1-2 strength training sessions per week.
Group Requirements:
- Attendance:
- Practice attendance 90% per month
- 10% off time placement from YMCA Nationals standards that year.
- Parent Notes:
- Required for late arrival, early departure, and missed practices. Contact group coach for preferred method of communication.
- Commitment:
- Must be committed to compete year-round.
Swim Meets:
- Y-League: Participation in 3 invitationals to qualify for the league championship at the end of the season and our own hosting meet required.
- USA Swimming: Encouraged to attend all age group meets designated by the coaching staff.
Junior - Coach in Charge: Noah Bernstein, Assistant 2 hour practice Age Group 10-14 & JO Development Level
- Emphasis:
- Proper stroke technique, starts, and turns. This group further develops ideas of a workout structure, interval based training, and aerobic conditioning with the introduction of goal setting and race strategy.
- Pre-requisite:
- Junior Olympic, Winter Age Group, June Age Group, Q Champs
- Training Offered:
- Includes 5-6 swimming sessions per week (up to 9/wk in the Summer), 1-2 strength-training sessions per week.
Group Requirements:

- 4 out of 5 Weekdays, Optional Saturday morning practice
- Parent Notes:
- Required for late arrival, early departure, and missed practices. Contact group coach for preferred method of communication.
- Commitment:
- Must be committed to compete year-round.
- Monthly Group Fee:
- $140
Swim Meets:
- Y-League: Participation in 3 invitationals to qualify for the league championship at the end of the season and our own hosting meet required.
- USA Swimming: Expected to attend all meets including championship meets and Sr. Developmental level meets as designated by the coaching staff.
Y-Champs - Coach in Charge: Tiffany Duarte; 1 ½ hour practice
Aimed for the beginning age group swimmer from ages 8-12 years of age
- Emphasis:
- Focus is on proper stroke mechanics, starts, and turns. This group introduces the ideas of a workout structure with base intervals and sets. Time standards of Blue/Red/White introduced.
- Pre-requisite:
- Must Register for and Complete Team Try-Outs.
- Training Offered:
- Training includes 4-5 swimming sessions per week, 0-1 strength- training sessions per week.
Group Requirements:

- 3 out of 5 Weekdays
