As a USA Swimming registered swim team, we are required to abide by policies set forth in the USA Swimming Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP). Ace Aquatics puts the safety of kids first in all regards, and we're proud to support the policy.
It defines Applicable Adults as
▪ All USA Swimming non-athlete members and adult athlete members;
▪ Participating non-members (e.g. meet marshals, meet computer operators, timers, etc.);
▪ LSC and club adult staff and board members; and
▪ Any other adult authorized to have regular contact with or authority over a minor athlete. Collectively “Applicable Adult(s)” F interactions related to
The MAAPP Policy outlines acceptable and unacceptable interactions between Athletes and Applicable Adults in the context of:
- One-on-one Interactions
- Social Media and Electronic Communications
- Travel
- Locker Rooms and Changing Areas
- Massages, Rubdowns, and Athletic Training Modalities
