
Bakersfield Swim Club offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the Bakersfield Swim Club to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

| FROSH/SOPH From the JellyFish Elite group at the Bakersfield Swim Academy, athletes move into this group. Athletes in this group are usually at least 10 years old and have completed the the required practice test (4 x 100 Individual Medley - two lengths of each stroke - on a 2:30 interval at BSA) . This group is exposed to training for the first time while trying to prepare for the 200 Freestyle and 200 Individual Medley races. Competing at swim meets is highly encouraged at a rate of about once per month. Age Group practice 2-4 Days a week
Summer Workout Days/Times: Monday- Thursday 5-630pm Swim
JUNIOR GROUP: This is the next level up from the Frosh/Soph. Mastery of the all four strokes. The practice sessions will have more focus on the training and constructing of the races. The focus is competing in of all races in the given age group. This group will practice up to 5 days a week. There are no mandatory minimum for Junior Group, recommended 4-5 days a week. Swim Meets are about one per month. Athletes will be prepared to move to the Senior Group. HIGH SCHOOL: Perfect for the High School Age Athlete. The practice sessions will consist of the necessary tools to prepare for the upcoming High School Season. Competitions will be offered locally. Practices are 5 days a week. Recommended practicing 3-5 days a week. High School Coach: Amanda Terrell / Gabby Nack / Kathy Hernandez

SENIOR GROUP By Invitation only -. Athletes entering the Senior group must display a strong desire to perform at the highest level they are capable of. Training is geared towards individual talents, although a strong aerobic endurance factor is present. Athletes in the Senior group are directed towards making their National Time Standards. This group will have a maximum enrollment. High Performance Group Coach: TBD Athletes are expected to make one practice a day a minimum of 5 practices a week. Fall Workout Days/Times:
