Schroeder Swim School - Class Descriptions
Preschool Levels:
Baby 1: 6 months to 18 months
This is a Parent / Child class with a primary focus on safety. No prior swimming experience is required at this level. We want your little one to feel comfortable and happy in the water. Our teaching techniques are creative and loving and we always teach in progression. Our main focus is to teach swim and safety skills along with proper holds, rolling over on the back, reaching for the wall, breath holds, kicking, and having fun!
Baby 2: 18 months to 24 months
This class is designed as a transitional class which will prepare children for our Schroeder Mini class (where parents will be completely out of the pool area.) During the course of Baby 2, parents will sit on the edge of the pool assisting and interacting with their children, while they take turns working with an instructor. We will be working on water safety skills during class with parents out of the water; as well as gliding, floating, and swimming independently.

Try Out for Swim Team!
Our Little Lions (ages 8 & Under) and Big Lions (ages 9-12) groups are for kids who are brand new to the swim team and looking to give it a try. Have fun, make friends, and learn how to race! Practices are held 2x per week, and kids will be eased into competition in a low-pressure environment.
Swimmers should be able to swim a length of the pool unassisted; tryouts are intended to ensure students are ready and safe. Please contact Gabe Hilliard at [email protected] to try out for the team.
