Toronto, ON  October 23-25, 2025 - Local swimmer Rowynn Biffart made waves this past weekend as she competed at the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup in Toronto, representing Alberta and the Alberta Marlin Aquatic Club on the global stage.

Held at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre from October 23–25, the event welcomed over 350 elite swimmers from around the world, including Olympic hopefuls and world record holders. Biffart’s participation marked a proud moment for the Alberta Marlin Aquatic Cub and Medicine Hat’s swimming community, showcasing the talent and dedication nurtured right here at home.

Known for her relentless work ethic and calm focus under pressure, Biffart joined a field of international competitors in the final stop of the 2025 World Cup series. Her presence at such a prestigious event speaks volumes about her growth and potential in the sport. Biffart placed 16th in 100m IM, 22nd in 200m Free and 15th in 200m IM.

The Toronto meet was a celebration of excellence, with standout performances from Canadian swimmers and a world record in the women’s 800m freestyle. For Biffart, it was a chance to gain experience, build confidence, and represent Medicine Hat with pride.

As she returns home, Rowynn Biffart brings back not just memories of racing among the world’s best, but also inspiration for young swimmers across southern Alberta. Her journey reminds us that with dedication and community support, even the biggest stages are within reach.
