Blue Team
-Focus is on learning and excelling at the technical aspects of the strokes as well as the introduction to the competitive side of swimming
-Ages 6 to 18
-Working knowledge of all four competitive strokes, (Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Freestyle), starts, and turns.
-Be able to complete 20 yards freestyle and backfloat 1,000 to 2,000 yards in a one hour and 15 minute practice
-Learn how and be able to use the pace clock for time interval sets and understand the concept behind time interval sets
-Attendance is not mandatory but 2 days per week is highly encouraged
-Goal is to move up to the Fusion Silver or Black Group depending on age
Silver Team
-Focus is on technique, endurance building and learning the ways of competitive swimming.
-Ages 6-14
-60% attendance per month
-Have the knowledge and be able to swim legally all four competitive strokes as well as legal starts and turns
-Need to be able to complete 2,500 to 3,500 yards in a an hour and half practice
-Know how to use the clock for interval training and be able to meet time requirements and complete sets according to the coach
-Participate in at least 1 meet per month
Black Team
-Focus is still on technique through sets. Main focus on endurance building and competition. Also includes medium dry land training (30 minutes 3X per week)
-Ages 11-18
-60% attendance per month with expectation of 4 days per week
-Need to be able to complete 3,500 to 4,500 yards in a an hour and half practice
-Know and understand how to use the clock for interval training and be able to meet time requirements and complete sets according to the coach
-Goals for qualifications in Silver, Age Group State, and Senior State competitions
-Participate in at least 1 meet per month
Red Team
-Focus on training on a regular schedule for cycled competition with increased emphasis of longer high endurance sets
-Ages 14-18
-Required 60% attendance per month with expectation of 4 practices per week.
-Advanced dry land training 4 times per week for 30 minutes
-Need to be able to complete 5,000 to 6,000 yards in a 2 hour practice
-Need to meet qualification standards in Silver/Senior State/or Zone competitions
-Experience in using both digital and analog clock for time interval sets
-Able to meet time standards set by the coach
-Participate in at least 1-2 meets per month
