Swimming has always been a big part of her life. She started swimming summer league at age 8 with the Smoky Hill Sharks, where she still holds multiple team records. She was not a very good swimmer under the age of 12, and most club teams wouldn't even take her when she tried out. Aquawolves gave her a chance and she made her first sectional cut by 14. She believes in hard work, pushing yourself to find your best, and never giving up on yourself. She swam for Grandview High school and qualified for state in all the events and was top 16 in her main events.
She had a shoulder injury that required her to get surgery her senior year of high school and she even swam with one arm for a year. She was fortunate enough to meet a crazy coach that gave her the opportunity of a lifetime. He gave her a full ride to swim D1 at the University of Idaho. Her coach was a former Olympian, Gold Medalist and a world record holder in the 50 free for a decade! He changed her life in so many ways and is a huge reason she coaches today. Swimming is such an amazing sport. There are SO many life lessons and opportunities that we can get from it that translate out of the water. She is passionate to help these kids become stronger, more confident versions of themselves and learn all the lessons our sport has to offer.

My name is Coach Jason. I am very excited to be a part of the Aqua wolves swim team and have the honor of working with your child this season. Swimming is more than just a sport—it’s a lifelong skill, a character-building experience, and a passion that I hope to instill in each of my athletes.
My coaching philosophy is centered on three key principles: a love for swimming, strong character development, and technical excellence. I believe that when swimmers enjoy what they do, they grow into confident and motivated athletes. Beyond the strokes and turns, I emphasize the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and discipline—qualities that will serve them well both in and out of the water.
One of my biggest focuses as a coach is technique. Efficiency in the water is crucial, and I will work diligently with each swimmer to refine their strokes, improve their body position, and maximize their potential. Whether your child is new to the sport or an experienced competitor, my goal is to help them swim smarter, not just harder. As a teacher I thrive on giving lots of feedback and focusing on form first so as to not build bad habits.
A little about me, I have been a swimmer all throughout my life and coaching combines my love for teaching and aquatics all in one. I started out coaching swim lessons at DU back when I first started teaching PE in 2012. I then started coaching swim team and lessons for Lifetime fitness 2015-2019. After changing PE positions to Cottonwood creek elementary school I started coaching for ACES swim club in 2022 as well as managing Pools in the summer such as CCV and Sundance hills pool assisting with lots of private lessons and swim team. I currently do daily private lessons out of club greenwood and teach PE at cottonwood creek elementary school.
Communication is key to a successful season, and I encourage an open dialogue between parents, swimmers, and myself. If you ever have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Together, we can create a supportive and enriching environment for every swimmer to thrive.
I’m excited for a season full of growth, hard work, and fun! Thank you for entrusting me with your child’s swimming journey. Let’s make this an incredible experience for all!

Jessica is a lifelong athlete with a deep love for sports and movement. She grew up running and competed in basketball, volleyball, and track in high school. These days, she enjoys running, lifting, hiking, and skiing.
Her passion for swimming started with her three children—Evan (19), Liv (17), and Finn (14)—who all began swimming at a young age. They participated in summer league and club swimming with STARS and Aquawolves. Her eldest son is now living his dream as a collegiate swimmer at the University of Indianapolis.
Outside of coaching, she has a background in federal service and private sector leadership. Jessica has spent over 20 years as a public servant in the federal government. Recently impacted by the federal hiring freeze, she is exploring her next opportunity while dedicating time to coaching.
As both a coach and a swim parent, Jessica has learned that the swim community is a special one—filled with wonderful people, supportive families, and friendships that last a lifetime. She believes that swimming is a lot like life: there will be good days and bad days, wins and losses. What matters most is always trying your best, enjoying the victories, and pushing past the setbacks. She encourages young swimmers to show up for themselves, their families, and their teammates with positivity and determination.
Above all, Jessica loves working with kids and creating a fun, encouraging environment where they can develop strong fundamentals, confidence, and a lifelong love for the sport. And if you catch her dancing on deck—just know it's her way of celebrating the joy of swimming!
I started in the swim
world at age 15 by teaching swim lessons. I started coaching summer
clubs a few years later. I coached in Rocky Mountain swim league
for 15 summers at The Preserve, Ben Franklin, and Sundance. I
started with Aquawolves in 2008 and have coached most of the
different age groups at some point in time. I really enjoy coaching
the blue group and teaching swim strokes, especially since that is
where I started in the swim world.
I am also a 4th grade math teacher at Hallett academy in Denver
Public Schools. I have been teaching since 2010 in 1st, 4th, and
5th grade.
