We offer practices at both Ethel Walker School in Simsbury and Mills Pond in Canton (in the summer).

Mission Statement: The Charter Oak Aquatic Club is a community dedicated to maintaining a positive, structured and balanced environment as it supports its athlete members in the pursuit of excellence in the sport of swimming.

Vision Statement: The reward of perseverance is success.

The Charter Oak Aquatic Club (OAK) is a non-profit member of United States Swimming founded in 1978. Our stated objective has always been to provide our members, aged 6-20, with a top flight, competitive, year-round swimming program.

Why Choose Oak?

Oak is dedicated to the development of competitive swimmers through quality coaching. We are a team of 70-90 swimmers of varying ages and abilities with the resources to emphasize individual instruction while providing each swimmer with the positive support and environment necessary to reach his/her full potential as a swimmer and a person. Additionally, there is a clear focus on stroke technique and pre- and post-race strategy and discussion. We believe that your swimmer will benefit from our environment, and your investment of time and energy will be returned 100%!

Swimmers considering membership can be beginners with an interest in competitive swimming. There are no time standards for club membership, only a commitment to work consistently to improve performance and to support one’s teammates.

We also look beyond swimming to nurture friendships and a family atmosphere.
