Competitive Background: Four years of competitive swimming at Loyola University of Maryland, serving as team captain for two years. Qualified for the Olympic Trials in 2004 and 2008.
Coaching Experience: In 2012, I founded CPAC and successfully led the team to achieve USA Swimming Gold Medal Club status by 2019. Our team was recognized as one of the top 20 under-18 teams in the country, boasting numerous Olympic Trials Qualifiers, two National Junior Team Members, and two World Junior Championship Qualifiers. In 2024 I served as an assitant coach on the US Paralympic team at the Paris games.
Most Memorable Sports Moment: Swimming at my first Olympic Trials in Long Beach, CA in 2004 was very special.
Aaron Montgomery - Swim Coach

Coaching Philosophy: If an athlete is going to really be successful in this sport, they have to love being in the pool everyday. My goal as a coach is to help foster that love.

Most Memorable Sports Moment: Coaching CPAC at USA Swimming Sectionals in March of 2022 when they won the men’s, women’s, and overall team titles was a great and memorable was to get back to normal post covid.

Most Memorable Sports Moment: I can clearly remember breaking 5 minutes in the 500 free. The hard work paid off.

Teresa Rough - Swim Coach

Coaching Philosophy: Provide an inclusive environment where children can learn proper swimming technique, sportsmanship, teamwork and have fun in the process.Competitive Background: Four years with the Fordham University Varsity Swim Team. Co-Captain senior year.
Coaching Experience: Swim instructor (10 years), asst swim coach (5 years) at Chelsea Piers, coached youth soccer, basketball and baseball (5 years).
Most Memorable Experience: I vividly remember qualifying for division nationals in the 200 free relay my senior year with 4 of my teamates.

Isabel Anbar - Swim Coach

Coaching Philosophy: My coaching philosophy is to create a safe and welcoming environment where swimmers can grow both in and out of the pool. I focus on building their confidence whilen encouraging them to embrace. chllenges and steo outside their comfort zone. I strive to motivate athletes to push themselves while also being a steady presence when they experience setbacks. Above all, I aim to foster resilience self-belief, and a love for the sport that lasts beyond the pool.Competitive Background: I was a Division 1 swimmer at James Madison University form 2019-2023. I was recognized as an All-CAA athlete and earned spots on the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll and JMU Athletics Director's Scholar-Athlete list (Spring 2020). Competitively, I was a two-time CAA Rookie of the Week and contributed to a third-place finish in the 400 Medley Relay at the CAA Championships as well as second-place in the 200 Backstroke. JMU collectively won 3 conference championships back to back in my tenure.
Coaching Experience: I began my coaching career at Country Club of New Canaan and was coaching for 3 summers. I went on to pursue club coaching at the Greenwich YWCA from beginning of 2024 until October when I made the switch to Chelsea Piers and have been here ever since!
Most Memorable Experience: My most memorable moment was my Freshman year of college at our CAA Conference Championship. I swam the 200 Backstroke and was seated 7th going into finals. When I touched the wall and saw 2nd place and a best time next to my name it was one of the best feelings ever. As I was catching my breath I heard my entire team chanting "freshman! freshman!" and looking up into the stands and saw my parents crying in their matching JMU shirts. I will remember that moment for the rest of my life.

Coaching Philosophy: I believe in balanced, moderate-intensity training that supports steady progress without burnout. My goal is to create sessions that are both productive and enjoyable, helping athletes stay motivated, develop strong habits, and find lasting value in their training.Competitive Background: 8 years of experience in swimming, including 6 years competing in competitive swimming in my home country, Ukraine.
Coaching Experience: I am relatively new to coaching and have been working with children for the past year, teaching the the fundamentals of swimming.
Most Memorable Experience: Was completing an intense, month-long swim training program designed to push my abilites to the absolute limit. Each day demanded full focus, discipline, and physical endurance, as I worked to refine technique, build strength, and improve overall performance. The program was both physically exhausting and mentally testing, but it taught me invaluable lessons about perserverance, self-belief, and importance of consistency.
