Program Fees: Short Course 2025/26:

Not included in the Program Fees are USA Swimming Membership Fee, Individual Meet Fees, Gear & Equipment.
USA Swimming Membership Fee $85: United States Swimming is the national governing body for swimming in the United States. The AquaFlyers are a member of USA Swimming and Connecticut Swimming. We participate in USA sanctioned meets throughout the year. Every swimmer on the AquaFlyer team is required to register with USA Swimming in order to participate in these meets, as well as be insured while participating in practices, meets, and approved functions. Swimmers ages 13 and over require a premium membership ($85) which is valid from September 1st, 2025 through December 31, 2026. Swimmers ages 12 and under have the option to purchase a flex membership ($30) which allows for participation in 2 local meets per year but no LSC Championships.
Meet Fees: Individual Events: All AquaFlyer swimmers (except Minnows) are encouraged to participate in USA sanctioned meets during the season. Entry fees for each event, a third-party cost, usually average $12 - $15 depending on the host team/meet. When your swimmer commits to a meet, the coaches register him/her for an average of 2-3 events per session. We pay the host team all the event fees upfront. As a result, you are responsible for all individual event fees, whether your swimmer actually competes or not. Relay Events: If your swimmer is selected by the coaching staff to represent the AquaFlyers in a relay event, the AquaFlyers will absorb the cost of that event. Event fees per swimmer will be billed monthly and will vary depending on events committed.
Please note a swimmer cannot be entered in a meet if their account has a balance due. A swimmer's account can be viewed at any time online. If you have any questions regarding meet charges, contact our Team Treasurer.
Again, once a swimmer signs up for a meet, you are responsible for the meet fees regardless of whether your athlete attends the meet or not. By registering for a meet, you acknowledge, understand and agree to this policy. We realize unforeseen circumstances at the last minute can keep you from attending a meet, but the AquaFlyers will already have paid the fees to the host team on your behalf and must be reimbursed for them.
High School Swimmer Discount: For athletes actively swimming on a high school swim team during short course, there is a $120 discount for their short course program fee.
Multi-Swimmer Discount: For families with multiple swimmers, there is a $50 discount per additional swimmer after the second swimmer is registered at full price.
