1. Can my child try it out before we commit to membership?
Absolutely! We encourage prospective members to attend a free trial practice. Please email us at [email protected] with your child’s name and the date you’d like them to join, so we can expect you.
2. How do I know which group my child should dive in?
No prior diving experience? No problem! Our age-group programs focus on building coordination, learning basic diving techniques, and having fun in a safe environment. Coaches will help determine the best fit for your child.
3. How many practices should my child attend?
You can choose from 1 to 5 practices per week:

1–3 times/week: ideal for beginners and recreational divers

4–5 times/week: suited for those aiming for national-level competition
4. How much does it cost to join Evanston Diving Club?
To join, you must:

5. Does my child have to compete?
While competition is not mandatory, we encourage all divers to participate in our meets. Competitions are open to all skill levels—even beginners who can safely jump off the board. Our meets are fun, supportive opportunities for divers to showcase what they’ve learned in practice and gain experience in a friendly environment.
6. When are practices held?
Practice schedule:

Monday to Thursday: 4:45 PM – 6:45 PM

7. Where do we meet on the first day?
Meet in the Diving Dryland Complex. Enter the pool area, walk around to the 3-meter side near the shallow end, and look for the door labeled “Diving Dryland Complex.” Go through the double doors, down the stairs, and the dryland room will be on your right. Wear shorts and a T-shirt over a swimsuit. Long hair should be tied back.

9. What does a typical practice include?
Each practice lasts 2 hours:

First 30 minutes in the dryland room (warm-ups, trampoline, mats, belts, and acrobatics)

Remaining 90 minutes in the pool working on dive techniques
10. What is your refund policy?

Full refund: if you withdraw within the first week
