BRST had 13 swimmers compete at the 2019 Senior Champs last weekend. The 3 day event was hosted by South Florida Aquatic Club in Pembroke Pines. Leading the way in scoring were Seniors Cameron Taddonio and Emily Chen.

"The outgoing Seniors, Cameron Taddonio, Emily Chen and Shelley Sikes will be badly missed", BRST head coach Allan Williams said. "They were true leaders over the weekend. Cameron really showed his class, working hard for a best time and 2nd place finish in the mile, his last event after a rought start to the meet".

While Cameron lead the way on the men's front, Emily Chen lead the way on the women's side. Emily's highest placement coming in the 50 Freestyle where she placed 8th. BRST was also represented in finals by Noah Andronescu who was 9th in the 200 Butterfly, David Genz was 6th in the 200 Breastroke, Brian Farias placed 10th in the mile and Elizabeth Sikes had a great swim to win the 'B' Final of the 200 Butterfly.

"The seniors are getting closer to leaving for college but they've opened the door for others to fill that void", said Coach Allan. "I was extremely happy for Brian Farias who put in probably the best performances of the weekend. Brian had some fantastic swims going best times in all his events. The BRST coaches and myself are excited for the future. We had great performances by Taylor Cope, Lauren Dudley and Paige Gelenski to name a few".

The Senior Championships on the women's side were won by East Coast Aquatics and the host team South Florida Aquatic Club took the honors on the men's side. BRST placed 20th and 12th on the women's and men's sides respectively. Congratulations to all the BRST swimmers on a great weekend. Great job!
