Courtney Randolph Makes Finals on Day 1 @ Missouri Grand Prix
Courtney Randolph became the only FGC swimmer to qualify for the A Final in the 2009 Missouri Grand Prix on day one of the meet. Courtney will be in 6th place going into the 400 IM final with a preliminary time of 5:02.77, a best time by almost 6 seconds. Courtney also went a best time in the 200 Free (2:10.08) earlier in the session.
Other PST swimmers who competed in this mornings session include Cheriesse Campbell, who swam both the 200 Free (2:11.16) and 100 Fly (1:05.94, personal best), Dylan Marsolek in the 200 Free (2:01.60, personal best) Alec Wathen in the 400 IM (5:07.07, personal best) and Michael Tucci in the 100 Breast (1:11.53). Michael just missed making finals, coming in 27th place. Hampered by an untimely sickness, Jessica Randolph showed her toughness and competed in the 200 Free.
The PST men will also be competing in the 800 Free Relay tonight in finals.
