PST Shines at Coral Springs Invite

In a rare prelims/finals, non-championship meet, the Plantation Swim Team had one of the best meets of the year, with almost every swimmer achieving at least 1 new personal best, 2 new sectional cuts and 31 new Junior Olympic cuts. Leading the way with 100% personal bests were Meagan Abad, Lorenzo Cabrera, Alejandra Cardozo, Krissa Robinson, Mathew Wathen, Danny Tucci, Leila Witcher and Angela Petrillo. Among Meagans best swims was a drop of 12 seconds in the 200 Back that also gave her her first Sectional cut. Lorenzo took 15 seconds off his 200 Breast, 13 seconds off his 400 Free and 11 seconds off his 200 Back while Alejandra dipped under the Junior Olympic cut in the 100 Back, 50 Free and 100 Free. Matthew Wathen took 9 seconds off his best in the 100 Fly and 7 seconds off in the 200 Fly. Danny's largest time drop was 23 seconds in the 400 Free, while group mate Angela Petrillo dropped 10 seconds from her 200 Free, 8 seconds from her 200 IM and 7 seconds off her 100 Free.

Abigail Fossas achieved a AAAA Time Standard on her way to winning the 50 Fly, and led the team with 7 finals appearances, scoring 45 points.

Jenna Diamond took a new sectional cut down in the 200 IM, dropping almost 4 seconds from her previous best. Serah Adkison took 12 seconds off her 400 Free.

All of these great performances (and many, many more than was written here) point toward a great championship season for PST! Good luck and keep up the hard work.
