TS Aquatics Training Groups Overview

At TS Aquatics, we offer a progressive training structure designed to meet swimmers where they are in their development and help them achieve their highest potential. Below is a breakdown of our training groups, age ranges, focus areas, and equipment requirements.


Pre-Team Program

Foundational technique and skill development for young swimmers

Pre-Team 1.0

  • Ages: 6–12

  • Training: Up to 5 days/week

    • 60-minute water sessions

    • 3 dryland sessions/week

  • Focus: Freestyle and backstroke development, introduction to basic endurance

  • Required Equipment: Snorkel, training fins, kickboard

 

Pre-Team 2.0

  • Ages: 6–12

  • Training: Up to 6 days/week

    • 60–90 minute water sessions

    • 3 dryland sessions/week

  • Focus: Continued freestyle/backstroke development, introduction to breaststroke and butterfly

  • Required Equipment: Snorkel, training fins, kickboard


Age Group Program

Skill refinement and competition preparation for developing athletes

Age Group - Veteran's Park 

  • Ages: 13–18

  • Training: 6 days/week

    • 60–90 minute water sessions

    • 3 dryland sessions/week

  • Focus: Stroke refinement and aerobic endurance

  • Required Equipment: Snorkel, training fins, pull buoy, hand paddles, kickboard

 

Age Group 1.0

  • Ages: 8–15

  • Training: Up to 6 days/week

    • 60–90 minute water sessions

    • 3 dryland sessions/week

  • Focus: Preparation for age group championships

    • BB time standards required

  • Required Equipment: Snorkel, training fins, pull buoy, hand paddles, kickboard

 

Age Group 2.0

  • Ages: 8–15

  • Training: Up to 6 days/week

    • 90–120 minute water sessions

    • 3 dryland sessions/week

  • Focus: Championship preparation, race strategy, goal setting

    • BB/A time standards required

  • Required Equipment: Snorkel, training fins, pull buoy, hand paddles, kickboard

 

Age Group 3.0

  • Ages: 8–15

  • Training: Up to 6 days/week

    • 90–120 minute water sessions

    • 3 dryland sessions/week

  • Focus: Advanced competition, championship-level performance

    • Championship time standards required

  • Required Equipment: Snorkel, training fins, pull buoy, hand paddles, kickboard


Senior Program

High-performance training for committed athletes pursuing regional to international competition

 

Senior Team 1.0

  • Ages: 14+

  • Training: Up to 5 days/week

    • Up to 2-3 hours/session

  • Focus: Consistent training and preparation for regional competitions

  • Required Equipment: Snorkel, training fins, pull buoy, hand paddles, kickboard

 

Senior Team 2.0

  • Ages: 14+

  • Training: Up to 6 days/week

    • 2–3 hour sessions

    • 3 dryland sessions/week

  • Focus: Senior championships and sectional-level competition

  • Required Equipment: Snorkel, training fins, pull buoy, hand paddles, kickboard

 

Senior Elite

  • Ages: 14+

  • Training: Up to 6 days/week

    • 2–3 hour sessions

    • 3 dryland/weight room sessions/week

  • Focus: Sectional, national, and international competitions

  • Required Equipment: Snorkel, training fins, pull buoy, hand paddles, kickboard
