Team History
1994 - Land O Lakes Lightning Swim Team Established
- Founded by the Pabst, Chamberlin and Walters Families
- Coaches Hayes, Boldizar, Anderson and Clark lead the team through spring and summer, and the athletes joined other locals teams for the competitive season
- Coach Hilgenberg joined the staff in 2000 and is still with us today
2001 - Coaches Phillips, Hayes, Boldizar and Hilgenberg led approximately 125 swimmers in to a year round program
2014 - Rebranded as Florida Elite under President Ewald and Head Coach Timmons
2017 - Coach Collins became Head Coach
2019 - Coach Svet become Head Coach, along with coaches Robin Hilgenberg, Koutras and Hammond
2020
- Swimmer McKenna Smith is accepted to Duke University to swim
- Swimmer Zuri Ramsey is accepted to Garner-Webb University to swim
2021 - Coach Ruuska became Head Coach, along with coaches Robin Hilgenberg, Voctoria Collier, Anjel Clemente
2024
- Swimmer Aubrey Vaile is accepted to Hartwick University to swim
