- If severe weather is predicted or taking place, please be on the lookout via email, 1 hour before your practice, as we will announce canceling practice at that time. If there is nothing sent or posted 1 hour before practice, then the plan is to offer practice that day. If we believe there is a chance a storm will pass we will not cancel ahead of time. The announcing time can vary depending on the group as different groups start practice at different times.
- If we experience severe weather during practice we will clear the pool, have all athletes shelter in the Nest under our coaches supervision. After that we will assess the situation and make a call on practice. If we feel it is best to cancel practice we will send an email, informing. All athletes will stay inside until a guardian picks them up. The swim team typically uses the Nest concessions or bleachers when waiting.
- Lower School students will remain in the aftercare without cost in case the cancellation happens before the swimmers walk to the pool. LS Swim Shuttle will not operate when the campus is closed for outdoor activities.
- Gold Middle School group will remain in the Middle School Study Hall in case of inclement weather at 2:30 PM. The swimmers will walk to the pool and practice until finish at regular time in case of the weather gets better before 3:15 PM.
- Senior group will often have a longer tolerance. We will wait longer until canceling. We recommend that the time is used to keep the homework up to date.
- There are no refunds for inclement weather situations. We will always do our best to make the practices happen.
