2012 Spring FLAGs

March 2012 - Sarasota, FL: Florida Swimming Spring Age Group Championships (FLAGs) - Wes McGovern helped lead the TBAY Brandon squad with an impressive:

  • 13-14 Boys 200 Free individual championship;
  • 13-14 Boys 500 Free individual championship;
  • 13-14 Boys 200 IM individual championship;
  • 13-14 Boys 200 Back individual championship; and
  • earning 3 NCSA Junior National qualifying and 1 bonus time standards.

Blake McGovern earned an individual championship winning the 11-12 Boys 50 Free.

Sending a squad of 8 swimmers (Blake, Garrett and Wes McGovern; Austin Waite; Zane Richardson; Van Cates; Amelia Wilson and Christin Rockway), TBAY Brandon scored a combined 310 points by swimming 20 top-ten finishes, of which:

  • 14 were top-5 finishes;
  • 8 were top-3 finishes; and
  • 5 were first place swims.

TBAY Brandon’s 40 personal best times out of 44 swims, helped lead TBAY to a 3rd place overall team finish.
