Camden County Boomers Swim Club Training Groups
Bronze Group
The Bronze group is for beginner swimmers age 5 and up who can swim the length of the pool (25 yards). An emphasis is placed on basic stroke development and stroke technique. Swimmers also learn to dive and learn the proper turns. Coaching emphasis is on correct strokes and not distance. Participation in competition is strictly voluntary on the swimmer’s part.
Swimmers are responsible for having all of their training equipment before practice begins (goggles, kick board, fins and water bottle).
Suggested attendance 2-4 days per week unless otherwise noted. Practices are held Monday-Thursday for Bronze 1 and 2. Bronze 3 may attend practice Monday-Friday.

Bronze II Group
Bronze 2
-Group A:
5:30pm-6:00pm Monday & Wednesday
-Group B:
6:00pm-6:45pm any 2-4 days/week Monday-Thursday
Bronze III Group
Bronze 3 6:00pm-7:00pm any 3-4 days/week Monday-Friday
Advancement to next level criteria:
• 100 Freestyle with correct turns and bilateral breathing
• 100 Back with correct turns and finishes
• The following skill are required for the swimmers: good listening skills and following instructions
Silver Group
The Silver Group's emphasis continues to be stroke technique with the introduction of training fundamentals for improving meet performance. They are strongly encouraged to participate in a competition once a month. Swimmers compete in meets throughout the year with the goal of achieving “B” time or better standards. This group is typically comprised of swimmers in late elementary school through middle school, with coach discretion related to varying skill. Silver Group swimmers must follow instructions, support teammates and behave maturely.
Swimmers are responsible for having all of their training equipment before practice begins (goggles, kick board, fins and water bottle) and are expected to be in the water on time when practice begins.
Suggested attendance 4-5 days per week. Practices are held Monday-Friday.

Silver 6:00pm-7:30pm any 4-5 days/week Monday-Friday
Advancement to next level criteria:
• 10 X 50 Freestyle on 1 min with correct turns and bilateral breathing
• 5 X 100 Freestyle on 1:45 with correct turns and bilateral breathing
• 3 x 100 IM on 3:15 with correct turns and legal strokes
• Be confident of swimming a 200 IM in competition correctly with no DQ.
• Demonstrated the ability to listen to longer swimming instructions
• Swimmers must consistently complete all assigned sets
Gold Group
The Gold Team is designed for skilled and experienced age group swimmers. This group is typically comprised of swimmers who are in 8th-12th grade. Stroke technique and race rehearsal prepare this group for local, state, and regional competition. Gold group swimmers compete in meets throughout the year with the goal of achieving “B” & “A” time standards through National Age Group Top 16 standards. The Gold Group’s emphasis is on setting, and achievement, of each athlete’s goals within the Camden County Boomer Swim Club team setting. Gold Group swimmers are expected to be supportive teammates, comply with Safe Sport regulations and the code of conduct, and approach training with maturity.
Swimmers are responsible for having all of their training equipment before practice begins (goggles, kick board, fins, pull buoy, hand paddles, snorkel and water bottle) and are expected to be in the water on time when practice begins.
Suggested attendance 5 days per week. Practices are held Monday-Friday.
Monthly Fee $95
Gold 6:30pm-8:30pm Monday-Friday

10 X 100 Freestyle on 1:20 with correct turns and bilateral breathing
• 5 x 200 IM on 250 with correct turns and legal strokes
• Be confident to train longer sets including 200 Fly, Back, Breast, 500 Free, 1000 Free, 1500 Free and 400 IM
• Swimmers must consistently complete all assigned sets and follow instructions accurately
