Between 1978-1980 I taught swim lessons.  In 1985 I entered the US Coast Guard and taught swim lessons. I held an EMT certificate while in the Coast Guard and received the Coast Guard achievement medal for a rescue. In 1993, I graduated from Sacramento State University with a bachelor of arts in Communication Studies.  I worked for UPS between 1986 and 2017 and I've been teaching swim lessons for the last five years for the city of Lodi.  I'm certified to teach swimming through the red cross and currently hold a water safety lifeguard certificate.
