{Miss Nia}

Miss Nia fell in love with dance at the tender age of three years old.  She began her training in a dance program held through Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.  At seven years old, Miss Nia continued her dance training at Ballethnic Dance Academy in East Point, Georgia.  While at Ballethnic, she performed in the "Urban Nutcracker" and "The Leopard Tale".  Also, in her youth, Miss Nia was a member of North Clayton Eagles three time Nationial Cheerleading Competition Association first place winning team.  At the age of seveteen, Miss Nia danced background for Tina Turner and Travis Tritt in the Super Bowl in year 2000.  After high school Miss Nia moved on to perform in the Morganette Dance Team at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland.  During her college career, Miss Nia also danced background for Dru Hill and Tank for local performances.  After college, Miss Nia moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where she taught dance and cheerleading at indy Parks Recreation Centers, and at night she was a Go-Go dancer at a nationally renowned Indianapolis venue, She also audition and was picked as an Indiana Colts cheerleader.  Miss Nia later returned to Atlanta and continued teaching dance in local programs like the Boys and Girls Club, Salvation Army, Ballethnic Dance Academy, Clayton County Public Schools, and other private owned dance studios.  She also continued to perform background dancing for other local talents like rapper, Archie. Miss Nia began her training, performing,and instructing at Ballroom Dance Clubs and Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Atlanta, Georgia for three years.  In 2015 Miss Nia opened The Movement Dance Studio.  Producing twelve recital productions and three first place winner dance competitons.  Miss Nia has hosted many church couples retreates teaching ballroom and hosting, "Dancing with the Stars of Henry County".  Miss Nia prides herself in being a pillar in her community by sharing the love of dance.  Ms. Nia has continued to share her love of dance and the arts by volunteering her service to Jonesboro City, Jonesboro City Library, several Clayton County Public School carreer days, and being Forest Park High School 2023 Band Booster President.  Miss Nia teaches Ballet, Tap, Jazz. Hip Hop, Modern, Horton, Litergical, Cheerleading, Majorette, and Ballroom Dancing.
