NWGA NITROS:
The NWGA Board of Directors and coaching staff are following guidelines placed by the CDC and the local health officials to ensure the safety of our Nitros Swimmers and Coaching staff during the Coronavirus outbreak.
In conjuction with this, USA Swimming has requested that all clubs halt operations at this time. This includes training on land, workouts in the water, and any face to face gatherings of ten or more.
Therefore, The NWGA NITROS will suspend all normally scheduled practices and activities until further notice. Our staff will be working with Calhoun City Schools, USA Swimming, state and local governments, to determine when it is safe to return to our normally scheduled activities. Our members health and well being are at the forefront of any decision regarding when we may resume.
In the mean time, the NWGA coaching staff will continue to work and interact with your swimmers. Coaches will plan to create a ZOOM Meeting with each athlete and parent. Goal-setting and "expectations" will be delivered at this time. Other behind the scene task will take place: virtual dry-land workouts, videos, games, nutritional guidelines, TeamUnify up-dating, record up-dating, meet / practice schedules for summer, etc.
To offer the above to our swimmers and to ensure the financial viability of our club, the board has decided to reduce the monthly fees for our swimmers to 50% and continue to pay our coaching staff. Our practices are suspended, but, not our operations. We are asking for the parents to support us with 50% dues. If a member paid full in March, nothing will be owed in April. We appreciate your understanding and support in these unprecedented times. Thanks for all that you do for the NWGA NITROS!

The Chattanooga Area Swim League and the Ga Parks and Recreation Association have both canceled their respected summer league swimming
( meets and training).

All Green swimmers must complete this form before being allowed to practice at the Calhoun Rec.Green 1 will practice from 7:30-9:30 am Monday through Saturday, beginning TUESDAY, MAY 26.
Green 2 will practice from 5:30-7:30 pm Monday through Friday and 7:30-9:30 am Saturday, beginning TUESDAY, MAY 26.
