After each Short Course and Long Course season, Georgia Swimming lists the TOP TEN swimmers by Age and Event. They use single ages starting at 11 and going up to 18. We had a swimmer make it onto 2 of the lists after the completion of the Long Course season. DELANEY WILLETTE was 4th in the State in the 200 Backstroke and 7th in the State in the 100 Backstroke (with only .34 seconds separating 3rd and 7th) for the 2014 Long Course season for 13 year old girls!! The 2014 Eastern Section of the Southern Zone (ESSZ) 14 & Under Age Group Sectional Championship Meet will be held this weekend, March 20-23-2014, at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center. The meet will include qualifying swimmers from 9 States: West Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama and the panhandle of Florida. We have 4 swimmers qualified for the Sectional Meet. Corey Kidd, 10 years old, qualified to swim 8 events: 50 Free, 100 Free, 50 Back, 100 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Fly, 100 IM, 200 IM....

Delaney Willette (13) will be competing at the 2013 Georgia Senior Short Course Championships this weekend at Georgia Tech. She has qualified and will swim 3 events - - the 100 Back on Saturday and the 200 Back and 200 IM on Sunday. GOOD LUCK DELANEY!!

Every April, Georgia Swimming has an All-Star Banquet to recognize the Georgia Swimmers that have achieved a AAA National Motivational Time and above in the previous Short Course and Long Course Seasons. And they are awarded with a personalized All-Star Towel! The list is out, and we have two Rockdale swimmers that will be recognized at the banquet to be held on April 6, 2014 at the Sonesta Gwinnett Place, Duluth, GA.
