Welcome to Life Time Swim Team - Houston! We are so excited to have you join the swim team. This informational page was created by the LIFE staff as a guide to help you navigate through all of the things you’ll need to know to get you and your swimmer(s) off to a great start. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact any of the LIFE coaching staff.

Our team is a year round USA competitive swimming team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor. *Please note that USA Swimming Registration is from September to September and has to be paid annually*

All of our coaches, as members of the American Swimming Coaches Association, have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time.

Team Philosophy

Each swimmer is encouraged to pursue their goals and ability. The sport of swimming is something that each person can take with them for life. We want each swimmer to learn qualities such as: dedication, determination, time management, goal setting, team work, and sportsmanship.

Practice Requirements

Nickel Group – 50%, Bronze 1 & 2 – 75%, Silver 1 & 2 and Gold/ Senior 80%

Equipment for Practices

Goggles, Team Cap, Team Suit, Kickboard, Pull buoy, Training Fins, Paddles, Mesh equipment bag (for your swimmers equipment), Water Bottle

Meet Requirements

Each group is required to go to a certain number of meets per year.

Nickel Group – 1 meet every 3 months

Bronze 1 &2 – 1 meet every 2 months

Silver 1 & 2 – 1 meet every 2 months

Gold/ Senior – 1 meet every month

*Please note that when you sign up online to go to a swim meet that by declaring your swimmer and picking events that you are agreeing to pay ALL meet fees for that meet. There are no refunds for missed meets or events at meets*
