"Growing up locally, I swam competitively for Memphis Tiger Swimming under the tutelage of the great coach, Dick Fadgen. After retiring my swim trunks (speedos) for a stopwatch, I moved into the coaching ranks where I have remained for over 20 years. I have coached at the club level for Collierville Swimming and Memphis Tiger Swimming, serving as the head age group coach for both teams. I was the head coach for Collierville High School from 2007-2019, during which time the team won ten County Championships in the combined category. I also have extensive experience coaching  in the local summer league, just finishing my 16th season as the head coach of Ridgeway Country Club.
