Summer Swim Team: June 17 - July 25th, 2024
The Coeur d’Alene Area Swim Team is introducing a 6-week seasonal summer swim program for swimmers ages 5 and up looking to build upon the skills learned in lessons. Participation in our seasonal program teaches the sport of swimming in a relaxed and fun environment!
CAST’s Summer Swim Team is a pre-competitive program where swimmers will be taught the 4 competitive strokes as well as sound workout habits. Our coaches emphasize proper stroke technique, introduce the basic rules for performing legal strokes, and provide instruction on turns, dives, and racing strategies. A Dive-and-Dash swim meet is arranged in the final week of the program as an introduction to competition in a fun, friendly and pressure free environment designed to encourage and build confidence in the sport.
The goal of our pre-competitive program is for swimmers to learn all four strokes and gain the skills and confidence to be able to join our year-round competitive team once they are ready. CAST strives to provide a positive and memorable experience for all swimmers on the team!
Who: Swimmers ages 5 and older
**Swimmer must be a new CAST member to join the seasonal summer team
Dates: June 17 - July 25 (6 weeks)
Days: Monday through Thursday
Times: 10 and younger: M/W 6:00 – 6:45pm; T/Th 4:45-5:30 pm
11 and older: M/W 6:45 – 7:30pm; T/Th 5:30-6:15 pm
Price: $295 – for swimmers with current Kroc Center memberships
$335 – price includes a 6 week only Kroc Center pass for non-members
*Above prices include all practices, CAST t-shirt and swim cap, Dive & Dash swim meet
+ USA Swimming Seasonal Membership: $49

Skills Needed to Participate: Working knowledge of freestyle and backstroke
Equipment Required: Goggles, long floating fins, and a kickboard
*Swimmers with long hair or hair that goes past the eye line, must wear a swim cap to keep the hair out of the eyes.
