PELICANS COACHING STAFF:

Brittany DeMille, Head Coach

Brittany grew up in Georgia where she learned to love swimming. She swam competitively 10 years in everything from the neighborhood team to USA swim to high school when she moved to Naperville. Brittany swam for Waubonsie High School and focused on breaststroke, backstroke and 200 IM. She taught swim lessons through Waubonsie and a neighborhood team for a few years during high school.

Brittany graduated from BYU with a Business Management degree with an emphasis in Finance in 2000. Brittany has a deep love of swimming and has taught her kids it is a life skill. She believes swim team helps move a casual swimmer to an "I can save my life" swimmer. Living in Bolingbrook since 2005, she and her family have been associated with the Pelicans for the past 9 years. Brittany is a full-time mom of 5 wonderful kids, four of whom, have been/are Pelicans.

Brittany started coaching Pelicans Fall/Winter 2021/22. She loves that swimming is an individual sport and we can focus on each swimmer achieving their own goals to be the best they can be!

Ameena Elshair, Assistant Coach

Hi, my name is Ameena Elshair! I graduated from the University of Tennessee, go Vols! Growing up, I swam for the Neuqua Otters for about 5-6years during the summer. My favorite stoke would have to be breaststroke. Overall, super excited to be joining the Pelican team this year!

Brynn Koehler , Assistant Coach

Coach Brynn is attending Lewis University, studying criminal pyschology, and set to graduate in May of 2026. In the meantime, she swims for the Lewis University Fylers, (favorite event is the 500 freestyle!) and loves spending time reading. She joined our coaching staff in the fall of 2024.
