2025-2026 Short Course Swim Group General Description and Fees:

Age Group                                                                                                                              

9 – 12 with approval will practice 5 days a week for 1.5 hours. Practice starts on September 3^rd .  Drill work and race strategy will be taught. This is not a “learn to swim” entry level. We do not offer a pre-competitive group. 50% drill, 50% speed.  Also, learning how to do longer sets and reps and follow workout by using pace clock.

Lead B                                                                                          

11-14 (10 with approval) will practice 5 days a week for 1.5 hours. Practice starts on September 3^rd .  Longer sets, along with drill work, pace work and race strategy will be taught. This is not a “learn to swim” entry level. 25% drill, 25% learning longer sets and 50% speed. Desire to compete at the Regional and Age Group Champ level

Lead A 

13 (11-12 years with approval) and up. Practice begins August 25^th and extends through late February/Early March. This group will practice 6 days a week 2 hours per practice. Desire to compete at the USA/ISI State and Zone level meets. Participation in all Championship meets is strongly encouraged.  

High School Girls A            

This group participates from the conclusion of your High School swim season (no earlier than 11/17, unless training for specific early winter meet) though late February/Early March. This group will practice 6 days a week 2 hours per practice. Participation in all Championship and Travel meets are strongly encouraged. Please be aware to be on this club and attend HS in school districts 211 or 214 participation on your HS swim team is mandatory.

High School Boys A

This group participates from August 25^th through November 22^nd.  You then will return upon the conclusion of your HS season providing you have Championship season cuts. This group will practice 6 days a week 2 hours per practice. Participation in all Championship and Travel meets are strongly encouraged. Please be aware to be on this club and attend HS in school districts 211 or 214 participation on your HS swim team is mandatory.

High School Girls B

This group participates from the conclusion of your High School swim season (no earlier than 11/17) until the end of your Club season. This group will practice 5 days a week 1.5 hours per practice. Participation in all Championship meets is strongly encouraged. Please be aware to be on this club and attend HS in school districts 211 or 214 participation on your HS swim team is mandatory.

College

This group is designed for college athletes looking for a structured work out when home for break or other times you are home. It is not for a college athlete attending a local or community college. If that is your situation, you would register for the Lead Age Group.

Age Group and Lead B: Fins, pull buoy, kick board, mesh practice bag, water bottle

All other groups: Fins, mesh practice bag, water bottle, pull buoy, kick board, Finis Agility Paddles, Drag Sox (size 30 ordered @

aquavolo.com) Lead A, HS A and College athletes use these drag socks and/or parachute almost every day…. PLEASE make sure to purchase them prior to the season starting.
