FAQ about Decatur County Sharks
- Does my child have to practice every day?
- No, practice times are available but there is no penalty for not attending. We understand that you have school, other commitments or priorities. Improvement comes more quickly with more time spent in the water though.
- Does my child swim every meet?
- You choose which meets you want to attend. You choose what events you want to swim.
- What if my child isn’t a strong swimmer?
- Swimmers 8 and under need to be able to swim 25 yards(length of the pool) on their own, swimmers 9 and older must swim 50 yards unassisted. Our goal is for everyone to improve during the season. You don’t have to be the fastest swimmer to have fun, improve, and be a part of the team.
