What is Synchro?

Synchronized Swimming, also called Artistic Swimming, is an Olympic sport that combines dance, gymnastics, and swimming. Together in teams, duets, or as a single swimmer, athletes perform choreographed routines set to music that demonstrate their strength, flexibility, aerobic endurance and synchronization. It is a challenging, but rewarding and beautiful sport.

Why Synchro?

A synchronized swimmer builds endurance, strength, power, speed, agility, and flexibility through balanced training. It takes years to produce a world-class synchronized swimmer, but swimmers at any level can enjoy and develop in our sport.

Who?

Synchronized swimming is a sport for all ages, male or female, children through adults. Must be able to swim one length of the pool and comfortable in deep water. Try synchronized swimming FREE through our TRY IT classes. Email us to let us know you are coming!

For those just beginning and recreational swimmers, we have two shows (December and May) to demonstrate the skills they have acquired during the season.

Our main current practice location is currently at the Jewish Community Center (JCC) in Indianapolis. However, we have practiced at locations located throughout central Indiana.

Equipment Needed?

To begin swimmers will need to provide the following: swim suit, swim cap, goggles, towel and bag. Nose clips are also required, but can be purchased from the coach for $5.
