What is Swim School?

The Trojan Aquatic Learn to Swim Program is an opportunity for young children, potty trained to 12 years of age, to be introduced to the world of swimming in a small group session within water instruction. Our club teaches the fundamentals of swimming such as stroke development, treading water, and floating.  Learning these skills allows for a smooth introduction to our competitive swimming program of the Trojan Aquatic Club.

How does Swim School Operate?

  • Swimmers will be learning fundamentals based on their skill level upon initial assessment at first lesson.
  • At the completion of each session, all swimmers will be evaluated by TAC coaching staff to see if they may be ready to advance to the next group for the following session.
  • Swim School graduates upon graduation will be able to float and swim to the flag and back independently. Graduates of TAC Swim School may then choose to be evaluated by the TAC coaching staff for application to our TAC competitive swimming team.
  • Use of the school locker room is available if the child is able to do so independently in concordance with Safe Sport regulations. For students who may need parental assistance, bathrooms are also available.
  • Students may bring their own goggles and should have their hair secured prior to arrival for lessons.
