FALL TRYOUTS 2025

**Thank you to everyone who tried out for the short course season.  If you missed tryouts we can try and set up a time for an evaluation, but know that many of our groups are full.  For UIC tryouts please email Coach Dave and for EP tryouts please email Coach Jim**

All new swimmers must tryout for CWAC to ensure that they are both ready for the team or Pack Prep and that they are placed in the proper group. CWAC recommends that all swimmers ages 7 and above who are interested in trying out for the swim team have, at minimum, a good understanding of all 4 strokes (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle) and the ability to complete 25/50 yards of each depending on their age.

If your swimmer is not yet team ready we have a Pack Prep program to help get them there.  Pack Prep swimmers must be at least 6 year old and be able to swim freestyle and backstroke and have had an understanding of breaststroke and butterfly.  Please visit the Pack Prep page, where you will find more information about our Wolfpack Swim School that focuses on development of all 4 strokes and preparing swimmers for the swim team.

Prospective members will need to sign up for a time slot.  More detailed instructions will be provided for those that sign up.  If your child has been on a team before please be sure to provide the coaching staff with a list of their best times.  Tryouts should be done at the pool you are looking to attend.  Swimmers need only attend one tryout session.

UIC Tryout Dates & Times - UIC PEB Building - 901 W Roosevelt Road, Chicago, IL 60608. There is metered parking on Roosevelt in front of the pool. There is free street parking on Roosevelt west of Morgan and on Morgan south of Roosevelt.

amilies will be notified via e-mail if their child has been selected and group placement.  Families will be given instructions on how to complete the online registration process.
