CWAC Finishes Second At Illinois Age Group State Meet
Action concluded at the Illinois Age Group State meet on Sunday and the Wolfpack finished second in the overall team standings. CWAC swimmers won a remarkable 18 state titles (14 individual and 4 relay). Congrats to the swimmers, coaches and families on a great team performance.

Team records were established by Matthew Ambrosino (11-12 boys 800 free), James Day (9-10 boys 100 free) and Feagin Kaminski (13-14 girls 200 back).
Joy Cheng picked up a new NCSA cut in the 200 IM and she and Danny Scott both achieved new sectional cuts in the 200 free and 100 fly respectively.
Double state champ Harper Rauch was featured in SwimSwam for her distance prowess at the meet.
Harper Rauch became the fastest 11-year-old American girl in the 800 free this season on her way to the win in 9:41.84. The Chicago Wolfpack Aquatic Club distance specialist dropped more than 11 seconds off her previous-best 9:53.11 from last month as she rocketed up to 35th all-time in the 11-12 NAG rankings. Rauch also emerged victorious in the 400 free (4:43.81), lowering her best time from last month by more than two seconds. She now ranks 92nd all-time for her national age group in the 400 free.
