Three Team Records On Day 1 of NCSA Meet

Action kicked off on Friday at the NCSA Junior National meet in Huntsville, Alabama.  The night opened with a pair of team records in distance events.  Biko Hooper-Haviland set at new 17-18 and overall team record in the men’s 800 freestyle finishing third and achieving a US Open standard.  Joy Cheng dropped 34 seconds in her 1500 free to finish seventh and establish a new 15-16 team record and achieved a summer juniors qualifying time.  Isabella Chow then answered for the sprint crew and set a new team record in the women’s 50 butterfly finishing in second.  Chow teamed up with Feagin Kaminski, Brooke Whitt and Alexis Brockman to finish sixth in the women’s 200 medley relay.  The foursome of Kale Chow, Jackson Heinlein-Preseault, Hooper-Haviland and Alistair Guth grabbed seventh in the men’s 200 medley relay.  The team sits in fifth after Day 1.
