WHY SWIM MEETS MATTER:
Swim meets are a vital part of every swimmer’s development; not just for tracking time improvements, but for building confidence, race experience, and technical growth. Meets provide a unique opportunity to apply what’s learned in practice and to perform under pressure.
They also play a key role in developing mental toughness and resilience. Meets test an athlete’s ability to cope with high-pressure situations, adapt to unexpected outcomes, and learn how to bounce back after setbacks, all while maintaining a positive and focused attitude. These are lifelong skills that extend far beyond the pool.
We typically offer at least one meet per month during the season.
• Big Kahuna swimmers are expected to compete in meets, especially championship and qualifying events.
• Kahuna swimmers are expected to compete in meets as possible and championship meets.
• Riptide swimmers are encouraged to attend one meet per month so they can to maximize growth and experience.
• Sandpiper and Breakers swimmers are invited to participate in inner-squad meets for fun, learning, and team connection.
