Bluegrass Youth Ballet (BYB) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Lexington, Kentucky. We are for and about our students. At BYB, dancers are given meaningful performance opportunities where they are the focus, allowing each student to grow both artistically and personally.

Through our high-quality dance education program, students who wish to pursue a professional career in dance are given the training and support to do so. At the same time, we recognize that not every dancer has professional aspirations. For this reason, we are deeply committed to developing healthy, well-rounded individuals and encourage our students to explore interests beyond the studio.

BYB fosters a positive, nurturing, and non-competitive environment where dancers build self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-respect. These values cultivate excellence—not only in dance, but in all areas of life—as students carry them with them far beyond the studio.
