Coach Vince joined the Wolfpack in the Fall of 2021 and in his first year was voted Lake Erie Swimming Senior Coach of the Year and a Top 50 Age Group Coach in the USA by the American Swim Coaches' Association. Under Coach Vince's direction the Wolfpack have qualified swimmers to Summer Junior Nationals, Winter Juniors, Futures, Zones and finished as a Top 100 club in the USA. Prior to joining Lakeshore in 2021, Coach Vince had been coaching USA Swimming for 10 years, all with SwimUnited, where he was the Associate Head Coach from 2014-2021. Under his direction the Brunswick site doubled in size and coached the first USA Swimming Junior National Champion in Lake Erie Swimming in over 20 years. Swimmers qualified for Olympic Trials, Junior Nationals, Futures, Sectionals and Zones during his tenure. He also was the Head Coach of Brunswick High School since 2014 with 3 State Champions, 26 All-Ohio winners, and 56 state qualifiers to go along with a top 10 district finish every year, highlighted by Runner-up in 2017. He was named Northwest District Coach of the Year in both 2017 and 2019.

In addition to his coaching duties, Vince has been an active member of swimming in the community as a Lake Erie Swimming Inc. Board of Directors member since 2014. He is currently the General Chair and has held roles as Technical Planning Chair and Coaches’ Representative. Vince was also an Executive Board Member for the Ohio High School Swim Coaches Association from 2015-2019.

Vince grew up in Parma and attended Normandy High School where he qualified for the OHSAA State Championships. He swam at the Ridgewood YMCA and was a Zone and Junior National Qualifier while swimming there. Vince graduated from Baldwin-Wallace University where he set multiple school records and OAC Championships. Outside of swimming he currently resides in his hometown of Parma with his wife, Karen, and son, Blake, who is a swimmer also.

Sam Stankivicz - Head Site Coach, Westlake - [email protected]

Before Sam returned to Lakeshore, he started his coaching career after a brief stint with the Rocky River High School team in the winter of 2018, helping them achieve a Girls District Runner-Up place that February. He then went on to his first full coaching job assisting the head coach of United Swim Association and the senior group. There, Sam coached multiple Sectionals, Futures and Junior National qualifiers and even a future NCAA qualifier.

Sam started his competitive swimming career with Lakeshore back in 2010 and in the next 5 years, the team brought him up from not even NAG 'B' cuts to a Sectionals and Futures qualifier, being part of several team record relays and the 2015 LESI LC Championship team. Sam went to Rocky River where he achieved All-Ohio and All-American consideration while also setting multiple school records. This led him to THE Ohio State University where Sam competed for three years and then two on the National Champion College Club swimming team.

Coach Sam started back with Lakeshore in the summer of 2021 assisting the Senior groups. He picked up right where he left off. So far he's coached on the 2021 LC Boys and Combined LESI Championship team as well as the 2022 Girls and 2023 Combined SC LESI Senior Championship teams. He spent 2021-22 assisting Rocky River as they achieved a Boys District Runner-Up and State Runner-Up for the first time in team history as well as coached two State Champion relays. This past season Sam was named the Head Coach of Normandy High School where he led the Invaders to a Division Championship, coached multiple All-Ohio award winners and the first All-American in Normandy's history!

A massive data nerd, Sam graduated with a degree in Data Analytics from OSU and is working in logistics in Rocky River.
