UMLY to Participate in Light the Night on Oct. 7th
Each year, UMLY participates in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night event. The year, the event will be in the evening on Saturday October 7th in Wilson Park in Chesterbrook, PA.
We have been participating in this event as a team for many years in remembrance of Cameron Evans, an UMLY swimmer who passed away of leukemia as a teenager. UMLY encourages everyone on the team (including friends and family) to join us and walk for this great event. You do not need to donate to participate in the event (but feel free to do so because it's for a great cause). If you register on the team (regardless of whether you donate), you will get a lantern which is what makes the event special because we do a one mile loop around the park with everyone holding a lantern (we use gold lanterns in remembrance). UMLY encourages everyone to register and would love to see a large group representing the UMLY swim team family at the event. The link is as follows:
