Aurora Athletics

Aurora Athletics is located in Randallstown, MD. Our facility includes a carpet bonded cheer floor, tumble trak, air track, and other various tumbling apparatus.

Aurora Athletics focuses on training our athletes to become competitive cheerleaders.

What is All Star/competitive cheerleading?

In competitive cheerleading, athletes learn a 2 minute or 2 minute and 30 second routine. The routine includes jumps, stunts, tumbling, and dance. Athletes then take this routine and compete at competitions from November-April. At these competitions, athletes are divided based on skill level and age. Athletes often win a banner or trophy for their team.

How does my child become an Aurora Athlete?

The best time to get your athlete started with Aurora is NOW. The sooner athletes get in the gym, the more they learn! Our season evaluations happen annually in May. If athletes miss this evaluation, it is okay! Aurora will be accepting athletes until choreography in August. If your athlete misses that cut off date, they will be placed in a Cheer Basics/Tumbling class until a spot on a team is open for them.

How will my child be placed on a team?

Aurora's competitive cheer teams are created based on age and skill level. Aurora is currently home to Level 1-3 teams. Our Level 1 teams are focusing on front walkovers and back walkovers for their tumbling. In Level 2, athletes begin backhandsprings and other skills involving backhandsprings. In Level 3, athletes begin competing tucks and other skills involving tucks. Athletes will also be placed on teams based on their maturity level.

Age groups include: Tiny Level (ages 3-5), Mini Level (ages 5-8), Youth Level (ages 6-12), Junior Level (ages 8-15), and Senior Level (ages 12-18).
