We have a change in our meet location for next weekend.  PLEASE READ!

 

USA SWIM MEET RULES

USA swim meet sessions for 12&Under swimmers must be completed in four hours or less.  If a host team receives more entries than the allotted time allowed, teams are “shut out of the meet”.

 

BAD NEWS

I just found out that the Midland Dolphins Swim Team has been “shut out” of the SLA Arctic Blast meet next weekend in Brighton.  Cancel your hotel.  Your swim entries will all be deleted from SportsEngine.

 

GOOD NEWS

I found a meet that will accept more swimmers!  We have a really quick turn around to get entered in a new meet. 

YOUR ENTRIES ARE DUE TOMORROW NIGHT/THURSDAY.

I understand that some swimmers may decide to no longer compete next weekend.  I also understand that more swimmers might want to add.

Times

Friday PM – 9 years and older boys and girls

Arrive 4:15pm

Warm Up 4:30pm

Meet Starts 5:30pm

 

Saturday and Sunday – Morning Session 7 years-11 years boys and girls

Arrive 7:30/7:45

Warm Up 8:00am

Meet Starts 9:10am

 

Saturday and Sunday – Afternoon Session 12 years and older

Arrive 11:45am

Warm Up 12noon

Meet 1:10pm

 

Saturday 1000 Session will take place 10 minutes after the conclusion of the Saturday PM session and not before 2:10pm

 

Meet Format

Timed Finals, events seeded slowest to fastest with the exception of the 500 and 1000 Free, and 400 IM, which will be seeded fastest to slowest alternating genders.  Please review the qualifying times for events 200 and longer in the Events section.

 

Individual Entry Limits

Max events per day are as follows: Friday (2), Saturday (5), Sunday (4). 

 

Entry Fees

$6.25 per individual event, and $8.00 for the 1000.

 

Surcharges

$1 per athlete Michigan Swimming athlete surcharge

$10 facility surcharge

$15 Midland Dolphins surcharge

 

Check In

Check-in will be required and will be located in the hallway leading into the pool area.  Please note Check-in for the 1000 Free will close at 1:30 PM.

 

Meet Programs/Admissions

$5/Person, $3 Heat Sheets
