Great swims and cold weather!  (No practices today, monday 1/26)

We hope everyone has been able to stay warm this weekend!
 
Weather aside, we had lots of amazing swims across the state of Michigan as well as Indiana.
 
We'll have some recaps of SLA, the MS conference meet, MISCA and Circle City on next Monday's News Report to give shout outs to some top performers and record setters!
 
Congratulations to DeWitt and Okemos teams for their success this weekend, and additionally the individuals on all of the teams who raced hard at the MS conference meet this weekend! 
 
Circle City was an adventure, with the State of Indiana declaring a state of emergency for Sunday.  The meet host was able to change the meet format and get as many events as possible on Saturday.  The swimmers did awesome with the sudden change in format and had some amazing swims!

Holt practice time changes

With the Middle School season ending at Holt, we will resume practices with the schedule below for the rest of winter.  This change was advertised in registration and expected to take place this time of the year.  The practice calendar has been updated to reflect the changes, which are starting tomorrow.

MMA middle school add on is now available and can be found as an event.

We are excited to see all the progress over a short middle school season and here is the ability to add on the rest of the winter club season.

We hope to make that a smooth transition and note that swimmers are going back into a slightly different structure that groups kids based on skills in our category system since we are the Hurricanes. Meets that are available in this add on our calendar with the associated deadlines for entry that shifts back to parents and swimmers to sign up for.

Important Dates & Practice Cancellations

Due to high school events at some locations, practices will be canceled on the dates listed below. If your site is down, you're welcome to attend a practice at another location (same category group).

 Practice Cancellations 

  • 1/29 - No Practice at Okemos, HS Meet
  • 2/3 - No Practice at Holt, HS Meet
  • 2/5 - No Practice at Holt or Okemos, HS Meet
  • 2/12 - No Practice at DeWitt, HS Meet
  • 2/16 - No Cat 1 or 2 Practices at all sites, Cat 4/5 @ Okemos 10:30-1:00
  • 2/26 - No Practice at Holt, HS Meet
  • 2/27 - No Practice at Holt, HS Meet

 You may attend another site’s practice for your swimmer’s category at any time—just double-check the schedule for accurate times and locations.

 Reminder: On weekend swim meet days attended by MMA, there will not be regular practices (except for Tropical Storms). Please check the calendar for meet days and updates.
